HDMI video mixers represent a new generation of video mixers. While some traditional video mixers had HDMI (Roland V4-EX, for example); it seems reasonable to put HDMI mixers in their own category.

- Inspired by the v4, this mixer was a side project kicked off by big name Dutch VJ artists in 2012 before HD mixers were widely available. Joris de Jong, Karl Klomp, and Merjin Meijers were the original founders of the project, which was eventually abandoned over the years as HD mixers entered the market.
- Was designed in 2012 before the Roland v4ex became available.
- Lead to the team having talks with Roland over their desires for how they want small form factor HD mixers to be designed. Influenced the direction Roland took with the v1-hd and beyond.
- Based on the TvOne 1t-C2-750 scaler.
- Weighs enough to kill a man and still function [Actual weight to be provided in the future]
- Only around 25 of these were ever made, and were made by hand. Unknown how many still exist. The only [currently] known existing models are owned by GG member Shambler and Freek Braspenning, creative director of KBK visuals. [Freek also provided all documents, firmware, and software provided in a link below, big thanks to him.] If you know of anyone else owning one of these, please contact Shambler to add to his documentation.
- No “Finished” 1.0 software has been discovered yet for this unit, As such, 2 controls do not function and cannot be assigned. Many bugs exist.
- Not only is obtaining one of these incredibly difficult due to the low production numbers, but due to the uncompleted status of the software/firmware, there is little functional use for almost all users.
More reliable, plentiful, feature rich, and functional hd mixers exist. This mixer holds little practical use and is better viewed as an odd collector’s piece of VJ art history. - Only known firmware / software / manual content linked below. Unknown if later versions were released.
