Category: VIDEO HARDWARE
- Discontinued?
- The AJA HD10AVA handles CVBS, Y/C, and YPbPr. I think it supports RGB, but the docs are conflicting on that point. Here's a feature chart for the various converters.
- error in that chart, HD10AVA does not convert SDI to YPbPr, only the the other way round

- Upscales Composite video to HDMI 720P/1080P (60HZ)
- These are generic converters that may have different chips in them depending on when you purchase them.
- YUV Component to VGA upscaler
- Alternative firmware for the GBS 8200
- Downscales HDMI (480i through 1080P) to Composite 480i
- These are generic converters that may have different chips in them depending on when you purchase them.
- Optional USB Power
- Known to cause issues with some mixers (black and white or rainbow output)
- Insignia is a BestBuy exclusive brand.
- Lacks S-Video

- This version has been tested to work on Win 11. It output 800x600x60Hz, and the two outputs show the same thing. The MindShow driver from Github was used.
- This one looks to one of the more reputable sellers, but needs verification.
- The RetroTink line of converters are aimed at gamers; and the features they focus on are zero-latency conversion of Component/Composite to HDMI. Including video game specific 240p composite; which is a hack that works on 480i standard composite; by only sending every-other line.
- RetroTink 4k Pro
- RetroTink 4k CE
- Cut down version of 4k Pro, removes some features that may be relevant to Analog Video art. I.e. 3d Comb Filter
- Latency free upscaling from 240p Composite, Component, S-video to 480p HDMI
- It appears to be a clone of the RetroTink 2x
- Says it is an upscaler, but upscaling from HDMI to Composite doesn’t really make sense. Could just be SEO spam. Although the specs say it does 480p input; and 576p output; so you could technically upscale if you ever needed that.
- Has some extra audio outputs (SPDIF, and Coaxial, R / L Stereo Audio)
- Optional USB Power
